Pre-Arizona Cup Invitational Star FITA

Paseo Vista Archery Range, Northwest corner of McQueen Road and Ocotillo Road in Chandler, Arizona
Purpose: Pre-Arizona Cup warmup 72 arrow ranking round, useful for those preparing for the Arizona Cup and/or seeking to meet qualifying score requirements. Some informal matches may be arranged following the ranking round depending on how many archers are available in each category.
12:00 noon Check-in and everyone help move targets following the end of City of Chandler classes
1:00 pm Official practice (2 or 3 ends)
1:30 – 2:30 Scoring, Round 1
2:30 pm - 10 min break after first 36 arrows
2:40 -3:40 Scoring, Round 2
4:00 pm Awards, and informal round robins
5:30 pm Clean up
Cost: $10 per archer, payable by cash or check to Paseo Vista Archery Club, or online at www.paseoarchery.org.
Prizes: Minimal; For the purpose of awarding prizes, Paseo Vista T-shirts will be distributed to the winner of the following combined divisions at each distance. There must be a minimum of 3 or more archers in category; males and females at the same distance will be combined into a single category if there are less than 3 in either category.
Award Divisions: 70 m recurve male, 70 m recurve female, 60 m recurve male, 60 m recurve female, 50 m recurve Cub male, 50 m recurve Cub female, 50 m compound male, 50 m compound female
The venue is limited to a maximum of 40 archers (10 lanes).
Senior and Junior Recurve, male and female (70 m, 122 cm target)
Cadet and Masters Recurve, male and female (60 m, 122 cm target)
Cub Recurve, male and female (50 m, 122 cm target)
Senior and Junior and Cadet Compound, male and female (50 m, 80 cm 6-ring target)
From North or West Phoenix: Take Interstate 17 or State Route 51 Southbound, merging with Interstate 10 Eastbound. Follow I-10 East past Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, and continue. I-10 East will start heading south, passing Tempe and Guadalupe. At the very south edge of Phoenix, about a mile past Ray Road, take the exit for Loop 202 East (Santan Freeway). Head east on Loop 202 for about 8 miles, exit at McQueen Road. Turn right (south) and head 3 miles south to the Paseo Vista park entrance. The park is on top of the only hill nearby. Pass Queen Creek Road, cross over a canal, and proceed about ¼ mile further. The entrance will be on the right.
From Scottsdale or NE Valley: Take Loop 101 south through Scottsdale and Tempe. When Loop 101 ends at Loop 202, take the left two lanes to head east on Loop 202 for about 4 miles. Exit at McQueen Road. Turn right (south) and head 3 miles south to the Paseo Vista park entrance. The park is on top of the only hill nearby. Pass Queen Creek Road, cross over a canal, and proceed about ¼ mile further. The entrance will be on the right.
